    I love Italian landscapes and the impressive sunsets. This unique pendant is inspired by my photograph to this particular deep orange sunset glowing over the hills of Cortona, Tuscany. I have selected six sumptuous orange Mexican Fire Opals, two 5mm x 3mm and four 3mm round natural gemstones hand set in sterling silver to create a statement necklace that is as impressive as the sunset.

     

    Fire opals are unique in the lush world of the opals. They were already admired as symbols of the most fervent love in ancient times. The most significant fire opal deposits in the world lie. In Mexico rock strata containing within their many extinct volcanoes.

     

    This sterling silver necklace comes on an 18 inch sterling silver chain and beautifully presented in a gold envelope, gold organza bag and in a unique white gift box with the image of its inspiration in the lid of the box. This medieval settlement is centred around the hot spring baths which give it its name, crystal-clear sapphire waters walled with pale stone. Both the baths and the picturesque properties which surround them can be dated back to the medieval era, and though the central pool is no longer open to the public for bathing, the nearby hot springs at the Parco dei Mulini offer a similar experience.
