Apatite Opal Earrings, Neon Blue Apatite, Ethiopian Opal, Semi Precious Gemstone, Handmade Jewellery, Sterling Silver, Drop Earrings

Amazing faceted cut sparkling 3mm x 3m round-shaped two 5mm x 3mm oval-shaped & two 3mm x 3mm round-shaped neon blue Apatite semi-precious natural gemstones, complimented by wonderfully crafted earth-mined 4mm x 3mm oval-shaped & 7mm x 5mm cushion-cut-shaped Ethiopian Opal semi-precious colourful gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Rhaeadr y Cwm, where pure white water thunderously crashes down a self-carved path through jagged rocks and green-flecked cliffs.
Apatite, an arresting gemstone which naturally occurs in a broad array of hues, is named after the Greek apate (‘deceit’) as its varied colours have fooled many into mistaking it for other minerals.
As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.
30mm long (~1 1/2 inches), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
