Opal Kyanite Drop-Earrings, Ethiopian Opal, Rare Blue Kyanite, Semi Precious, Handmade Gemstone Jewellery, Sterling Silver

Breath-taking earth-mined 9mm x 6mm rounded edge rectangular shaped Ethiopian Opal semi-precious cabochon gemstones, complimented by two rare 5mm x 4mm oval-shaped blue Kyanite gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a bezel setting & a prong setting respectively!
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Fairy Glen Gorge near Betws-y-Coed, where crystal-clear water dances across black and mossy rock, foaming white rapids periodically punctuating the peaceful woodland landscape.
As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.
Kyanite’s name arises from the Greek kyanos, meaning ‘deep blue’. A stunning, serene gemstone, it is said to bridge the gap between the heart and the mind.
40mm long (~1 1/2 inches), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
