Inspired by Waterfalls

Topaz Opal Necklace-Pendant London Blue Topaz, Ethiopian Opal, Semi Precious, Handmade Gemstone Jewellery, Sterling Silver

Beautiful sparkling 5mm x 3mm pear drop-shaped London Blue Topaz semi-precious gemstone, complimented by wonderful earth-mined 9mm x 6mm pear drop-shaped Ethiopian Opal semi-precious faceted gemstone. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a bezel setting & prong setting respectively!
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the dramatic Dyserth Falls, where water cascades of up to 70ft are visible from a trail weaving over and behind this waterfall, offering hikers a chance to appreciate its magnificence from all angles.
As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.
One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.
Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
