Inspired by Waterfalls

Aquamarine Iolite Earrings, Ice Aquamarine, Semi Precious Gemstones, Sterling Silver

Wonderfully crafted 8mm x 6mm oval-shaped Ice Aquamarine semi-precious natural unheated gemstones, complimented by beautifully colourful 7mm x 5mm oval-shaped & two 2mm x 2mm round-shaped blue Iolite ‘water sapphire’ gemstones. These semi-precious gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the roaring waterfalls found in Clocaenog Forest, a vast swathe of verdant woodland which stretches across Denbighshire and Conwy. Here, the foaming white water spills over dark grey rocks, the deep green trees bearing witness to its natural ferocity.
A March birthstone, aquamarine is named after the serene ocean waters with which it shares its captivating hues. Due to this maritime association, some sailors wear it to bring good fortune.
Iolite, occasionally called a ‘water sapphire’, is sometimes considered a September birthstone. Used as a guide by Norse seafarers, this ‘Vikings’ Compass’ embodies a keen sense of direction.
36mm long (~1 1/4 inches), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
