Emerald & Cubic Zirconia Sterling Silver Necklace
A simply magnificent necklace showcasing an enchanting 8mm x 6mm oval of natural green emerald precious gemstone, complemented by a 5mm x 3mm baguette & four 1mm x 1mm rounds of stunningly sparkling faceted-cut lab-grown cubic zirconia. Each of these impressive gemstones is elegantly hand-set in a stylish sterling silver claw setting.
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Rhaeadr y Cwm, where pure white water thunderously crashes down a self-carved path through jagged rocks and green-flecked cliffs.
A May birthstone, emerald has been called the ‘Jewel of Kings’ due to its ties to historical royalty; it was popularised by the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Cleopatra and has remained in fashion since.
A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.
Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
