Blue Tanzanite & Ethiopian Opal Sterling Silver Lever-Back Gemstone Earrings
An eye-catching pair of lever-back gemstone earrings, featuring remarkable 6mm x 6mm trillions of Ethiopian opal, elegantly complemented by four stunningly sparkling 3mm x 3mm faceted trillions of blue tanzanite. Each of these impressive gemstones is elegantly hand-set in a stylish sterling silver claw setting.
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the phenomenal Swallow Falls in the Snowdonia National Park. One of the tallest waterfalls in Wales, this landmark brims with churning cascades in a picturesque, wooded setting, accessible by a narrow, rocky footpath.
A December birthstone, tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, borrowing its name from its origin country. It is often worn by Tanzanian mothers to grant their new-borns happy lives.
Like other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.
30mm long (~1 ¼ inch), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
