Topaz Opal Necklace, Ethiopian Opal, Cubic Zirconia, Semi Precious, Handmade Gemstone Jewellery, Sterling Silver, Pendant

£120.00

Wonderfully crafted 6mm x 4mm pear drop-shaped London Blue Topaz semi-precious gemstone, complimented by 3mm x 3mm round, 6mm x 4mm pear Ethiopian Opal semi-precious natural cabochon gemstones & several 1mm x 1mm round-shaped Cubic Zirconias. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting & cluster setting respectively!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the Clwyd Valley which, with its rolling green hills and naturally verdant woodland, perfectly encapsulates the untouched pastoral beauty for which North Wales is famous.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.

One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.

As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
