Amethyst Opal Necklace, Yellow Sapphire, Ethiopian Opal, Semi Precious, Handmade Gemstone Jewellery, Sterling Silver Pendant

Original price was: £145.00.Current price is: £130.50.

Gorgeous sparkling 7mm x 5mm oval-shaped purple Amethyst semi-precious gemstone, complimented by gorgeous earth-mined 6mm x 4mm inverted pear drop-shaped Ethiopian Opal & several natural 1mm x 1mm round-shaped yellow Sapphire precious gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting & cluster setting respectively!
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Moel Famau, where blooms of beautifully pink and purple heather act as a rich and vibrant highlight amongst the subdued moorland hues en-route to an ancient local landmark.
A February birthstone, amethyst has traditionally symbolised sobriety – its name derives from the Greek ametusthos, “not intoxicated”. More recently, it has also been tied to deep emotional bonds.
One of the birthstones for September, sapphire’s symbolism is as diverse as its hues, having been associated with youth and old age, power and kindness, and wealth alongside freedom from envy.
As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.
Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
