Natural Emerald & Ethiopian Opal Sterling Silver Gemstone Necklace Pendant

An eye-catching gemstone pendant showcasing a serene 6mm x 4mm inverted pear-drop of natural green emerald alongside an enchanting 12mm x 7mm pear-drop of earth-mined Ethiopian opal. Each of these impressive gemstones is elegantly hand-set in a stylish sterling silver claw setting.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Llangollen, a rural parish in North Wales where deep green slopes yawn across the landscape, the sky as still and calm as the undisturbed grassland beneath.

A May birthstone, emerald has been called the ‘Jewel of Kings’ due to its ties to historical royalty; it was popularised by the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Cleopatra, and has remained in fashion since.

Like other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.

This stunning pendant comes on an 18-inch sterling silver chain and in a unique gift box with the image of its inspiration in the lid of the box and in an organza bag, beautifully presented making a great gift.

Thanks for looking. Commissions welcome.
