Alexandrite Opal Earrings, Ethiopian Opal, Purple to Green Alexandrite, Sterling Silver, Semi Precious Gemstones, Stud Drop Earrings

Stunning faceted cut sparkling 12mm x 6mm marquise-shaped Alexandrite (lab) gemstones that change colour from purple to green in flourescent light, complemented by delightfully crafted 6mm x 4mm oval-shaped & two 3mm x 3mm round-shaped Ethiopian Opal semi-precious colourful gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of a gorgeous Bali sunset which bathes the Indonesian tropical paradise in richly exotic hues, rivalling even the plant life below in its colourful brilliance.
The most widely-recognised birthstone for June, alexandrite is named after Alexander II of Russia, supposedly having been first discovered by miners in the Ural Mountains on his birthday.
As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.
24mm long (~3/4 inches), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
