Ruby Tanzanite Necklace, Natural Ruby, Blue Tanzanite, Cubic Zirconia, Semi Precious Gemstones, Handmade Jewellery, Sterling Silver, Pendant

Beautifully faceted cut sparkling 7mm x 7mm round-shaped natural raspberry red Ruby precious treated gemstone, complemented by wonderful 4mm 3mm oval-shaped blue Tanzanite semi-precious rare gemstone & several 1mm x 1mm round Cubic Zirconia gemstones. These natural gemstones are handset in a sterling silver prong setting.
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the warped, alien landscape of Arizona’s Antelope Canyon. Formed by the erosive actions of collected rainwater during the monsoon season, this otherworldly setting, characterised by its undulating walls of warped, contorted sandstone, looks better suited to the distant clime of Mars than this sunny southwestern state.
A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.
A birthstone for July, ruby has long represented power and success; for 8th-century Arabic mystics, dreams of rubies foretold good fortune, whilst in afncient Burma they stood for life itself.
A December birthstone, tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, borrowing its name from its origin country. It is often worn by Tanzanian mothers to grant their new-borns happy lives.
Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
