Alexandrite Amethyst Necklace, Bronze to Green Alexandrite, Semi Precious Gemstones, Handmade Jewellery, Sterling Silver, Pendant

Amazing faceted cut sparkling 10mm x 8mm pear drop-shaped Alexandrite (lab) gemstone that changes colour from bronze to Greenin flourescent light, complimented by beautiful 6mm x 4mm baguette-shaped purple Amethyst semi-precious natural gemstone. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Almeria, a gorgeous coastal city and province in the sunlit paradise of southeast Spain. Graced with spotless beaches, stunning castle walls, and perpetually sunny skies, this gem of mainland Europe offers the perfect place to unwind.
A February birthstone, amethyst has traditionally symbolised sobriety – its name derives from the Greek ametusthos, “not intoxicated”. More recently, it has also been tied to deep emotional bonds.
The most widely-recognised birthstone for June, alexandrite is named after Alexander II of Russia, supposedly having been first discovered by miners in the Ural Mountains on his birthday.
Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
