Topaz Ruby Necklace-Pendant, Cubic Zirconia, London Blue Topaz, Natural Precious Gemstone, Handmade Jewellery, Sterling Silver,

£120.00

Amazing natural 19mm x 8mm oval-shaped red Ruby precious treated gemstone, complimented by stunning sparkling 7mm x 5mm inverted pear drop London Blue Topaz faceted semi-precious gemstones & 3mm x 3mm round Cubic Zirconias. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a bezel setting & prong setting respectively!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the flowers of the twin island havens of St Kitts and Nevis, sites of tropical perfection where fiery red flowers provide a flamboyant contrast to the serene blues of the Caribbean Sea which laps against the islands’ immaculate beaches.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.

A birthstone for July, ruby has long represented power and success; for 8th-century Arabic mystics, dreams of rubies foretold good fortune, whilst in ancient Burma they stood for life itself.

One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
