Ruby Tanzanite Earrings, Cubc Zirconia, Natural Precious Gemstones, Sterling Silver, Lever Back Earrings

£145.00

Two wonderfully crafted 5mm x 4mm oval-shaped & two 4mm x 3mm oval-shaped blue Tanzanite semi-precious gemstones, complimented by magnificent 7mm x 5mm pear drop-shaped red Ruby precious gemstones & several 1mm x 1mm round-shaped Cubic Zirconia (lab) gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the flowers of the twin island havens of St Kitts and Nevis, sites of tropical perfection where fiery red flowers provide a flamboyant contrast to the serene blues of the Caribbean Sea which laps against the islands’ immaculate beaches.

A birthstone for July, ruby has long represented power and success; for 8th-century Arabic mystics, dreams of rubies foretold good fortune, whilst in ancient Burma they stood for life itself.

A December birthstone, tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, borrowing its name from its origin country. It is often worn by Tanzanian mothers to grant their new-borns happy lives.

34mm long (~1 1/4 inches), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
