Two gorgeous faceted cut sparkling 7mm x 5mm oval-shaped Sea Foam Blue Zircon gemstones, complimented by amazing faceted cut sparkling 8mm x 6mm oval-shaped Blue Topaz semi-precious gemstones, one 3mm x 3mm round-shaped cubic Zirconia (lab) & several 1mm x 1mm round-shaped Pink Cubic Zirconia (lab) gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!
This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Lake Powell. Straddling the border between the US states of Utah and Arizona, this mesmerising reservoir snakes through stunning sedimentary cliffs, its deep blue tones – a mirror of the cloudless sky – juxtaposed against the warm pinks and oranges of the enveloping walls of rock.
This jewellery is inspired by my photography of the amazing deep blue waters of the many lakes and meandering rivers surrounding Boston, USA!
A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.
One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.
A birthstone for December, zircon is truly ancient, being one of the oldest minerals on the planet. In Medieval times, it was widely believed to foster prosperity, chivalry, and a thirst for knowledge.
