Citrine & Amethyst Sterling Silver Stud Drop Earrings

A charming pair of gemstone earrings showcasing two stunningly sparkling 5mm x 3mm pear-drops and one 3mm x 3mm round of faceted golden citrine, delicately complemented by glimmering 7mm x 7mm faceted-cut rounds of semi-precious purple amethyst. Each of these impressive gemstones is elegantly hand-set in a stylish sterling silver claw setting.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Yellowstone National Park, an astonishing nature reserve spanning 3500 square miles in the US states of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. Home to grizzly bears, nature-lovers, and an active supervolcano, this vast expanse of wilderness affords some of the most incredible views on the planet: seemingly endless forests zig-zagged by hiking trails and snaking rivers, immense lakes brimming with fish, and mesmerising hot springs ringed with rainbows of colour.

A February birthstone, amethyst has traditionally symbolised sobriety – its name derives from the Greek ametusthos, “not intoxicated”. More recently, it has also been tied to deep emotional bonds.

A November birthstone, citrine is characterised by its rich hues of yellow and gold, inspiring symbolic ties with both wealth and the sun, said to inspire, energise, and bring prosperity.

32mm long (~1¼ inch), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.

Thanks for looking, Commissions welcome.
