Inspired by the World

Bi-Colour Topaz, Tourmaline, Cubic Zirconia, Gemstones, Sterling Silver, Bracelet

£49.95

An enchanting bracelet showcasing a captivating 6mm x 6mm faceted round of semi-precious bi-colour topaz, four stunning faceted-cut 4mm x 4mm rounds of green, yellow & smokey tourmaline, and two 3mm x 3mm rounds of lab-grown cubic zirconia. Each of these impressive gemstones is elegantly hand-set in a stylish sterling silver claw setting.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Yellowstone National Park, an astonishing nature reserve spanning 3500 square miles in the US states of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. Home to grizzly bears, nature-lovers, and an active supervolcano, this vast expanse of wilderness affords some of the most incredible views on the planet: seemingly endless forests zig-zagged by hiking trails and snaking rivers, immense lakes brimming with fish, and mesmerising hot springs ringed with rainbows of colour.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.

An October birthstone, tourmaline was reported by one 18th-century Dutch scientist to induce sleep, whilst ancient traditions from Africa and India believe it to strengthen moral judgement.

One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.

7.5 inches long, this dazzling gemstone bracelet will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.

Thanks for looking. Commissions welcome.
