Ruby, Tanzanite & Cubic Zirconia Sterling Silver Pendant

£80.95

Beautiful combination of gemstones hand set in sterling silver featuring faceted cut 7mm x 5mm pear drop natural raspberry red Ruby precious gemstones, 4mm x 4mm & 3mm x 3mm round rare blue Tanzanite and several 1mm x 1mm sparkling Cubic Zirconia gemstones.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Costa Rica’s Arenal Volcano, an active, yet remarkably beautiful, volcano nestled amongst the blooming greenery of the Alajuela Province. Bathed here in the rich hues of an evening sunset, its volcanic majesty dominates the skyline.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.

A birthstone for July, ruby has long represented power and success; for 8th-century Arabic mystics, dreams of rubies foretold good fortune, whilst in ancient Burma they stood for life itself.

A December birthstone, tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, borrowing its name from its origin country. It is often worn by Tanzanian mothers to grant their new-borns happy lives.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
