Emerald Tourmaline Earrings, Cubic Zirconia, Natural Precious Gemstone, Handmade Jewellery, Sterling Silver, Drop Earrings

£165.00

Incredible natural 7mm x 5mm inverted pear drop-shaped green Emerald precious faceted gemstones, complimented by beautiful sparkling 6mm x 6mm round Pink Tourmaline natural semi-precious faceted gemstone & 3mm x 3mm round Cubic Zirconias. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting & bezel setting respectively!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Moel Famau, the sloping hillsides of which are adorned with delicately pale pink heather which serves to offset the verdant green of the valley below.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.

A May birthstone, emerald has been called the ‘Jewel of Kings’ due to its ties to historical royalty; it was popularised by the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Cleopatra, and has remained in fashion since.

An October birthstone, tourmaline was reported by one 18th-century Dutch scientist to induce sleep, whilst ancient traditions from Africa and India believe it to strengthen moral judgement.

35mm long (~1 1/4 inches), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
