Four delightfully crafted 4mm x 2mm marquise-shaped & 6mm x 6mm diamond princess-shaped purple Amethyst semi-precious faceted gemstones, complimented by lovely sparkling 6mm x 4mm oval-shaped green Peridot & two 2mm x 2mm round-shaped Rhodolite pink Garnets. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Moel Famau, where blooms of beautifully pink and purple heather act as a rich and vibrant highlight amongst the subdued moorland hues en-route to an ancient local landmark.

One of the birthstones for January, garnet – historically tied to friendship and faithfulness – has long been used for decoration, having been found amongst the relics of ancient Greece and Egypt.

A February birthstone, amethyst has traditionally symbolised sobriety – its name derives from the Greek ametusthos, “not intoxicated”. More recently, it has also been tied to deep emotional bonds.

An August birthstone, peridot has been popular since 1500 BCE, when its symbolic powers ranged from dissuading nightmares and promoting bravery to subduing harmful feelings of anger and guilt.

46mm long (~1 3/4 inches), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
