Delightfully crafted 10mm x 7mm pear drop-shaped Ethiopian Opal semi-precious gemstone, complemented by five gorgeous faceted cut sparkling 2mm x 2mm round-shaped & eight 4mm x 2mm marquise-shaped pink Rhodolite Garnet semi-precious gemstones. This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Moel Famau, the highest peak of the series of steep-sloped hills which form the majestic Clwydian Range. A picturesque trail to its top rewards hikers with breathtaking vistas as the warm reds of its moorland yield to the green of distant fields and the blue of the boundless sky.

One of the birthstones for January, garnet – historically tied to friendship and faithfulness – has long been used for decoration, having been found amongst the relics of ancient Greece and Egypt.

As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
