Amethyst Emerald Pendant, Cubic Zirconia, Natural Green Emerald, Purple Amethyst, Precious Gemstones, Sterling Silver

£62.95

Wonderfully crafted natural 5mm x 3mm pear drop-shaped green Emerald precious gemstone, complemented by beautiful faceted cut sparkling 7mm x 5mm baguette-shaped purple Amethyst semi-precious gemstones & several 1mm x 1mm round-shaped Cubic Zirconia (lab) gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting & cluster setting respectfully!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Moel Famau, where blooms of beautifully pink and purple heather act as a rich and vibrant highlight amongst the subdued moorland hues en route to an ancient local landmark.

A February birthstone, amethyst has traditionally symbolised sobriety – its name derives from the Greek ametusthos, “not intoxicated”. More recently, it has also been tied to deep emotional bonds.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.

A May birthstone, emerald has been called the ‘Jewel of Kings’ due to its ties to historical royalty; it was popularised by the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Cleopatra, and has remained in fashion since.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
