Bi-Colour Topaz Amethyst Sterling Silver Earrings

Gorgeous faceted cut sparkling 6mm x 6mm round Bi-Colour Topaz semi-precious gemstones with Bronze and Pink colours depending on the light, complimented by stunning faceted cut 7mm x 7mm round purple Amethyst gemstones. These gestones are hand set in sterling silver in a claw setting!

This stunning jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Moel Arthur, where muted pinks, subtle purples, and tones of burnt orange blend delicately into the soft green hills.

A birthstone for those born in February, amethyst is a striking semi-precious gemstone which has traditionally symbolised sobriety and restraint – its name comes from the Greek ametusthos, meaning “not intoxicated”. More recently, amethyst has been associated with pure, loving relationships and deep emotional bonds.

One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Beliefs around topaz vary – Hindu mythology points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom, whilst some 13th-century mystics claimed that it could sharpen and even restore eyesight and cure mental illness. Because of this, it is often viewed as a sacred stone.

These stunning earrings are 35mm long (~1 1/4 inch) and come boxed with the image of their inspiration in the lid of the box and beautifully presented making them the perfect gift from Wales.
