Ethiopian Opal Earrings, Cabochon Ethiopian Opal, Cubic Zirconia, Semi Precious, Handmade Gemstone Jewellery, Sterling Silver Drops

£79.95

Incredible earth-mined 6mm x 4mm oval-shaped Neon Blue Ethiopian Opal Cabochon semi-precious gemstones, complimented by lovely faceted cut 8mm x 4mm marquise-shaped Ethiopian Opal & several 1mm x 1mm round-shaped Cubic Zirconias. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting & cluster setting respectively!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of North Wales’ Lake Padarn, a glacially-carved basin of sapphire waters lying below the snow-capped peaks of Snowdonia, surrounded by 800 acres of natural parkland seamed with countless trails.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.

As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.

36mm long (~1 1/4 inches), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
