This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Llyn Trawsfynydd, a sweeping reservoir which dwarfs even Wales’ largest natural lake, Bala. Gorgeously clear, its enchanting waters play host to a rich variety of wildlife which draws fishing enthusiasts from afar.!
One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.
A December birthstone, tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, borrowing its name from its origin country. It is often worn by Tanzanian mothers to grant their new-borns happy lives.
