Soft blue 10mm x 10mm rare Larimar semi-precious gemstone, complimented by stunning faceted cut 2mm x 2mm round cubic Zirconia gemstones. These gemstones are hand set in sterling silver in a claw setting.
This handmade jewellery is inspired by the medieval magnificence of Conwy Castle, which at over 700 years old stands amongst the best-preserved British castles of the Middle Ages. A royal stronghold like no other, its sturdy grey battlements, now tinged green with nature, stand firm against deep blue skies and clouds of purest white.
Named after the Spanish word for ‘sea’, mar, Larimar is subject to speculation by some natives of the Dominican Republic who maintain that each piece is home to a water goddess, giving it its delicate aqua colouring. Perhaps thanks to this calming appearance, which evokes the tranquility of gentle coastal waters, it is said to ease stress and anger.
A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock, both from asteroids and the moon. Some claim that it aids in controlling one’s ego and selfishness, as well as in gaining a strong mental and spiritual clarity.
Attached to an 18 inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
