Inspired by the Tuscan Hills

Rare Tanzanite Gemstone, Sterling Silver Necklace

Four rich blue 3mm rounds and two 5mm x 3mm ovals of rare natural Tanzanite form the centrepiece of this captivating necklace, each gemstone elegantly hand-set in stylish sterling silver.

A December birthstone, tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, borrowing its name from its origin country. It is often worn by Tanzanian mothers to grant their new-borns happy lives.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the picturesque town of Pienza in Tuscany’s enchanting Val d’Orcia. Beneath this 9th-century World Heritage Site’s quaint skyline of red-tiled roofs lie gorgeous gardens of viridescent splendour and rolling hillsides rich with emerald-green flora.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
