This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Snowdonia, North Wales’s untamed, mountainous heartland, where blooms of heather, the dark silhouettes of stone monoliths, the cool waters of vast, still pools, and the ever-changing colours of a capricious sky fill the landscape with soothing tones of blue and purple.
A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.
A December birthstone, tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, borrowing its name from its origin country. It is often worn by Tanzanian mothers to grant their new-borns happy lives.
