This jewellery piece is inspired by a towering mountain in Snowdonia, Mynydd Tryfan serves as the inspiration for this handmade jewellery. Marked by a spine of pointed crags, this wall of stone stands high above untouched grassland against a clear blue sky, appearing like something torn from the pages of a fantasy novel.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock, both from asteroids and the moon. Some claim that it aids in controlling one’s ego and selfishness, as well as in gaining a strong mental and spiritual clarity.

Acting as a birthstone for the month of August, peridot is a gemstone shrouded in mystery. Its name has no clear origin – some sources suggest it is a derivative of the Latin paederot, which refers to a variety of opal, whereas others claim that it comes from the Arabic faridat, meaning ‘gem’. Its recorded use dates back as far as 1500 BC, where its symbolic powers seemingly ranged from warding off nightmares and promoting bravery to subduing negative feelings of anger and guilt.

20mm long (~3/4 inch), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
