Rhodolite Pink Garnet with Chrome Diopside & Peridot & Cubic Zirconia Sterling Silver Gemstone Earrings

An enchanting pair of gemstone earrings showcasing two stunningly sparkling 6mm x 4mm faceted-cut ovals of pink rhodolite garnet, handsomely complemented by glimmering 1mm x 1mm faceted rounds of chrome diopside, 7mm x 5mm ovals of serene green peridot and charming 1mm x 1mm cubic zirconia rounds. Each of these impressive gemstones is elegantly hand-set in a stylish sterling silver claw setting.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the Llantysylio Mountains, a stunning range of sky-scraping peaks above the pretty town of Llangollen. Gorgeously blanketed in rich plant life and dappled with the rich hues of heather, this breathtaking terrain makes the perfect destination for hikers.

One of the birthstones for January, garnet – historically tied to friendship and faithfulness – has long been used for decoration, having been found amongst the relics of ancient Greece and Egypt.

An August birthstone, peridot has been popular since 1500 BCE, when its symbolic powers ranged from dissuading nightmares and promoting bravery to subduing harmful feelings of anger and guilt.

A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock from both asteroids and the moon.

A recent disovery, chrome diopside is a rich green gemstone which, perhaps due to its verdant colouring, is believed by some to foster a connection with the natural world.

48mm long (~1 ¾ inch), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.

Thanks for looking. Commissions welcome.
