Tanzanite Amethyst Pendant, Natural Semi Precious Rare Gemstone, Handmade Jewellery, Sterling Silver Necklace

Gorgeous natural 5mm x 5mm round-shaped blue Tanzanite semi-precious rare gemstone, complimented by beautiful faceted cut sparkling 11mm x 9mm oval-shaped green Amethyst semi-precious gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Bwlch y Groes (‘Pass of the Cross’), a particularly high mountain pass in North Wales. This punishing ascent through the Welsh heartland rewards those who brave it with dramatic views of an extraordinary landscape marked by a magnificent marriage of light and colour.

A February birthstone, amethyst has traditionally symbolised sobriety – its name derives from the Greek ametusthos, “not intoxicated”. More recently, it has also been tied to deep emotional bonds.

A December birthstone, tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, borrowing its name from its origin country. It is often worn by Tanzanian mothers to grant their new-borns happy lives.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.
