    This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the historic Llyn Celyn, which, despite its peaceful appearance, bears a controversial history. A man-made reservoir, the creation of this lake involved the submersion of the village of Tryweryn, some of which is still visible today during rare droughts. On most days I visit, the lake’s serene, mid-blue waters speak little of its turbulent past.

Straddling the border between the US states of Utah and Arizona, this mesmerising reservoir snakes through stunning sedimentary cliffs, its deep blue tones – a mirror of the cloudless sky – juxtaposed against the warm pinks and oranges of the enveloping walls of rock.
