    Gorgeous sparkling 7mm x 5mm oval & two 3mm x 3mm round-shaped Rhodolite pink-purple Garnet semi-precious gemstones, complimented by lovely faceted cut 6mm x 6mm round-shaped green Peridot semi-precious gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!
     
    This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the exotic blooms of Bali, an Indonesian island often called the ‘Isle of the Gods’. The flowers of this tropical paradise are as vibrant as the culture which blossoms there, their arrestingly flamboyant hues catching the eye and impressing the memory.
     
    One of the birthstones for January, garnet – historically tied to friendship and faithfulness – has long been used for decoration, having been found amongst the relics of ancient Greece and Egypt.
     
    An August birthstone, peridot has been popular since 1500 BCE, when its symbolic powers ranged from dissuading nightmares and promoting bravery to subduing harmful feelings of anger and guilt.
     
    26mm long (~1 inch), these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.
