Celtic Ruby Pendant, Red Ruby Sapphire, Celtic Design, Rose Gold Accents, Precious Gemstone, Sterling Silver

Serene natural 6mm x 4mm oval-shaped Red Ruby precious gemstone. This gemstone is handset in a lovely sterling silver Celtic design with Rose Gold Accents in a bezel setting!

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Ruthin Castle, which acts today as a visual juxtaposition of two eras; at one end of the lush local parkland, enshrouded in ivy, slumps the ruined wall of a 13th-century fortress, whilst at the other stands a 19th-20th century manor house-turned-hotel. Both hold a unique appeal, but together they offer an indescribable allure, the red walls of the hotel contrasting gorgeously with the grey and green of the medieval remnants.

A birthstone for July, ruby has long represented power and success; for 8th-century Arabic mystics, dreams of rubies foretold good fortune, whilst in ancient Burma they stood for life itself.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.

Formed by the erosive actions of collected rainwater during the monsoon season, this otherworldly setting, characterised by its undulating walls of warped, contorted sandstone, looks better suited to the distant clime of Mars than this sunny southwestern state.
