    Lovely combination of gemstones handset in sterling silver comprising of 6mm x 6mm round natural Emerald gemstone,  7mm x 5mm faceted cut Blue Topaz semi-precious gemstones, 2mm x 2mm and 1mm x 1mm Cubic Zirconia gemstones.

     

    This bespoke jewellery is inspired by Dolbadarn Castle, which stands a lone sentry on a rocky crag, keeper of the ruggedly beautiful Llanberis Pass. Overlooking Llyn Padarn, this stronghold is situated between Caernarfon and Snowdonia, and is recognised as one of North Wales’ finest treasures.

     

    Serving as a birthstone for the month of May, emerald has often been called the ‘Jewel of Kings’ due to its close ties with historical royalty – it was popularised by the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Cleopatra, and has remained in fashion since. Surpassing even royalty, emerald has been worshipped as a god by some cultures, namely those in South America prior to the Spanish conquest, who deified the stone for its immense, undeniable beauty.

    One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Beliefs around topaz vary – Hindu mythology points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom, whilst some 13th-century mystics claimed that it could sharpen and even restore eyesight and cure mental illness. Because of this, it is often viewed as a sacred stone.

    A birthstone for the month of April first developed in the USSR in the 1970s, cubic zirconia is created from base substances found in extraterrestrial rock, both from asteroids and the moon. Some claim that it aids in controlling one’s ego and selfishness, as well as in gaining a strong mental and spiritual clarity.
