  • Natural Morganite & Tourmaline Sterling Silver Necklace with Rose Gold Accents

This charming pendant showcases an enchanting 10mm x 7mm teardrop of natural faceted-cut morganite, delicately complemented by natural 4mm x 4mm gemstones of green and pink tourmaline. Each of these gemstones is elegantly hand-set in a strikingly unique sterling silver setting, stylishly accented with rose gold.

Named after renowned American financier J.P. Morgan, morganite bears an inherent association with wealth and prosperity. Some also claim that it aids in fostering unconditional love.

An October birthstone, tourmaline was reported by one 18th-century Dutch scientist to induce sleep, whilst ancient traditions from Africa and India believe it to strengthen moral judgement.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of fair Verona, the romantic setting of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy. A World Heritage Site, this gorgeous city straddles the Adige River in the Italian region of Veneto, its cobbled streets, richly-coloured Renaissance terraces, and astonishingly well-preserved 1st-century Roman amphitheatre – still in use today – combining to offer a splendid variety of stunning attractions.

Attached to an 18-inch chain, this dazzling gemstone pendant will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of its inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented piece which makes the perfect gift.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the historic Llyn Celyn, which, despite its peaceful appearance, bears a controversial history. A man-made reservoir, the creation of this lake involved the submersion of the village of Tryweryn, some of which is still visible today during rare droughts. On most days I visit, the lake’s serene, mid-blue waters speak little of its turbulent past.

One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.
