    Gorgeous sparkling 6mm x 5mm oval-shaped blue Zircon semi-precious gemstone, complimented by a delightful earth-mined 11mm x 7mm pear drop-shaped Ethiopian Opal semi-precious gemstone & 3mm x 3mm round red Garnet gemstones. These gemstones are handset in sterling silver in a prong setting!
     
    This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of a sunset over the Clwyd Valley, which, drenching the earth and sky in the tones of encroaching dusk, deftly illustrates the mesmeric beauty which makes North Wales the backdrop to countless pieces of poetry and folklore.
     
    One of the birthstones for January, garnet – historically tied to friendship and faithfulness – has long been used for decoration, having been found amongst the relics of ancient Greece and Egypt.
     
    As with other opals, Ethiopian opal is a birthstone for October, said to brim with joyously positive emotion whilst also invoking the calmness and restraint required to balance such ardour.
     
    A birthstone for December, zircon is truly ancient, being one of the oldest minerals on the planet. In Medieval times, it was widely believed to foster prosperity, chivalry, and a thirst for knowledge.

    This jewellery is inspired by my photograph on the beautiful deep blue waters of Nevis which is the smaller of two islands comprising the nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. It’s known for sandy beaches, including palm-fringed Pinney’s Beach

    This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Snowdonia’s staggering Lake Cowlyd. Set amongst the Carneddau range of mountains, these deep and enchanting waters are accessible only via a challenging uphill path which demands determination in those that follow it. The required effort pays off, however, revealing a decidedly dramatic, desolate landscape bare of trees and rich in rough-hewn rock.
