Menorca, a Spanish island situated in the Mediterranean Sea, serves as the inspiration for this handmade piece. This island’s undeniable beauty is drawn from its rich collage of vast, sandy beaches, shimmering turquoise waters, and deep green stretches of coastal pine.

Historically, it has been associated with youth and old age, power and kindness, and wealth alongside freedom from envy. Many also claim that the sapphire can clear and focus the mind; ancient Greeks would often wear this gemstone when consulting the Oracle of Delphi to better understand her cryptic predictions and guidance.

Lake Celyn has a calm appearance with a controversial history. A village in the deep valley of the Rive Trywern, at the foot of the Arenig Mountains was flooded to create a water supply for a major city. On occasions during rare droughts the top of the local chapel is revealed. On most days I visit the serene, calm and mid blue waters are the perfect cover.
