    A truly charming pair of earrings showcasing stunningly sparkling 8mm x 6mm faceted-cut inverted pear-drops of lab-grown aquamarine alongside four enchanting 2mm x 2mm rounds of precious green emerald. Each of these impressive gemstones is elegantly hand-set in a stylish sterling silver claw setting.
     

    This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Cerrigydrudion, where fertile green fields – ringed by verdant hedgerows and dotted with grazing calves – tumble lazily forth before a backdrop of sloping hills.
     

    A March birthstone, aquamarine is named after the serene ocean waters with which it shares its captivating hues. Due to this maritime association, some sailors wear it to bring good fortune.
     

    A May birthstone, emerald has been called the ‘Jewel of Kings’ due to its ties to historical royalty; it was popularised by the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Cleopatra, and has remained in fashion since.

    One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.

    This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Bagno Vignoni – ‘the Bath in the Vineyards’ – a quaint Italian village set amongst the gentle hills of Tuscany’s Val d’Orcia. This medieval settlement is centred around the hot spring baths which give it its name, crystal-clear sapphire waters walled with pale stone. Both the baths and the picturesque properties which surround them can be dated back to the medieval era, and though the central pool is no longer open to the public for bathing, the nearby hot springs at the Parco dei Mulini offer a similar experience.
