  • AAA Natural Jade Gemstone, Sterling Silver Drop Earrings

The centrepiece of these elegant earrings is their striking 32mm x 6mm teardrop gemstones of natural jade, fabulous pieces of green splendour hand-set in stylish sterling silver.

An August birthstone, jade is an enchanting green gemstone with a rich cultural heritage; whilst ancient Greeks believed it to restore eyesight, early Asian cultures held it as a mystical cure-all.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of the breathtaking Val d’Orcia, a valley of unparalleled beauty in the paradisal Italian region of Tuscany. Home to such staggering sights as the Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta and the medieval thermal baths of Bagno Vignoni, this idyllic swathe of countryside is truly unforgettable, its undulating hills of green and gold bearing incomparable natural beauty.

46mm long (~1.8 inches) these dazzling gemstone earrings will arrive packaged in a small gift box featuring the image of their inspiration on the inside of the lid. Combined with an organza bag, this results in a gorgeously-presented pair which makes the perfect gift.

A stunning pair of earrings showcasing sparkling 12mm x 6mm marquises of lab-grown faceted alexandrite which change colour from purple to blue depending on the light, alongside four wonderful micro-faceted 2mm x 2mm spheres of semi-precious green moonstone. This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Singapore’s incredible botanical gardens, where gorgeous, captivating blooms of purple flowers inescapably arrest the senses in this 82-hectare paradise.

The most widely-recognised birthstone for June, alexandrite is named after Alexander II of Russia, supposedly having been first discovered by miners in the Ural Mountains on his birthday.

One of June’s many birthstones, moonstone bears the symbolic associations of its celestial namesake, namely love and renewal, famously explored by romantic poets such as Shelley.

  • Amethyst with Blue Topaz & Apatite Sterling Silver Earrings with Gold Accents

These lovely earrings perfectly showcase the deep colour of 8mm x 6mm purple amethyst gemstones complemented by 3mm x 3mm squares of striking blue topaz and 7mm x 5mm ovals of delightful neon-blue apatite. Each of these impressive gemstones is elegantly hand-set in stylish sterling silver accented with sumptuous yellow gold.

A February birthstone, amethyst has traditionally symbolised sobriety – its name derives from the Greek ametusthos, “not intoxicated”. More recently, it has also been tied to deep emotional bonds.

One of November’s birthstones, topaz is thought to be named after the Sanskrit tapas, meaning ‘fire’. Hindu literature points to its functions as a lengthener of life and provider of wisdom.

Apatite, an arresting gemstone which naturally occurs in a broad array of hues, is named after the Greek apate (‘deceit’) as its varied colours have fooled many into mistaking it for other minerals.

This handmade jewellery is inspired by my photograph of Anghiari, a scenic town sat atop the rolling hills of the Italian province of Arezzo, Tuscany. Its well-preserved medieval splendour is encircled on all sides by sweeping fields of green and gold, flecked with lavender and lined by leafy seams of verdant woodland.
